My Story: Looking for Honest People in Dallas
Sometimes I am not so miserable, because dating games don’t “get” me. I finally bottomed out, this morning I broke my resolution and smoked two packs of cigarettes. During my birthday party while being single, no less. Yeah, I did it. What does this mean? Honestly, that’s when I seriously looked into dating again in North Dallas.
No problem. Figured I’d boost my dating life at Great Expectations Denver Dating Service. That could do me good. Why do I bring it up? While eating corn on the cob at my boy’s t-ball game in Denver yesterday, great aunt Judy asked me if I have settled down with my one and only. I just can’t believe that came up. My response was, “what’s your deal, yo?”
There’s nowhere to hide when “The Twerp” (my nephew, age 9) continued harping along the lines of marriage. I quipped to all of them: “Seriously, what do you know about dating?”
How can they be so rude? No one knew what I was talking about, as usual. Quite promptly, I went to the gym to put my dating woes behind me. Why can’t I stop thinking about this! I can’t imagine what I was thinking there. My cousin, who recently moved to Italy recommended that I mingle at singles events by Great Expectations. I said, “Sure, whatever.” I have some good friends. I love the Dallas dating service Great Expectations.
When I started, matchmaking was kinda foreign because I’m a traditionalist of sorts. This was all really foreign to me, so much so that I got a little queasy. A mere emotional anxiety didn’t stop a great time. The evening was bursting with excitement. The host was incredible and I’ll always remember the attractive, single women.
Afterwards, I realized why so many people show up to these glorious Dallas singles nights with Great Expectations, I met some great people who certainly feel as excited as I am when it comes to dating. Now I can stop letting so many people give their two cents about living the bachelor’s life after all these years. Wonderfully enough, dating right the Great Expectations way is my pleasure and a remarkably refreshing dating experience.
