Using a Personality Quiz to Select a Job Applicant

Employment

Your personality is a unique set of the traits and behaviors that make you determine how you act in any situation. Consequently, a personality quiz aims at revealing those traits and to estimate them into a model that enables someone to predict how you will behave under a given set of circumstances.

Of course, no one (even you!) can be sure how he is going to behave in any situation. Too many factors come into play: your current mood, preceding events, your feelings, state of health, etc. Besides, a human personality is too complex to be precisely estimated.

Therefore, a personality test is designed to only evaluate how you are likely to behave in any given situation. The level of that “likeliness” may vary but in any case it may give your potential employer at least an idea if you can be a good fit for the available job position.

This make it possible to use the so-called pre-employment personality quiz match applicants with job positions and predict the likelihood of that candidate thriving in that particular business’ culture.

You shouldn’t put too much weight on your scores for this type of personality quizzes. There is no “fail” or “win”. The only thing you can be sure about is that even if you are not a good fit some given job, this doesn’t mean you are a loser.

Essentially, this only means that you are lucky enough to find that out before you have taken the position. Or (and this also happens very often), this can also mean that the quiz result was wrong or you was not completely honest when answering the questions trying to give “correct” answers.
